Hi, I’m Daniel Dean.

About Me

I was born in Goleta, California, and moved to Kokomo, Indiana, at the age of 10. My journey with animals began at 13 when I started an apprenticeship program with a veterinarian, assisting with diagnostics, lab work, surgeries, and overall wellness care. At 19, I joined the United States Navy and served until my honorable discharge in 2010.

Over the course of 20 years, I volunteered approximately 4,000 hours at veterinary clinics across the United States while studying animal psychology and behavior extensively. After my military service, I pursued new directions in my education, earning a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science in 2015 and a Massage Therapist License in 2016. My wife and I founded Dog Days LLC in December 2022.

Why Dog Days LLC

After two decades in the veterinary field, I reached a turning point. I didn't want to be part of a business model where an animal couldn't receive care until payment was made. This realization led me to a new mission: caring for animals in a way that prioritizes their wellbeing and comfort above all else. I wanted to use my extensive veterinary experience to help clients keep their pets healthy while creating something fundamentally different from traditional boarding facilities.

What Makes Us Different

At Dog Days LLC, we've reimagined what pet care should look like. Instead of kennels and cement walls, we provide a home-like environment where pets can truly relax. While most facilities offer pets a cot or blanket in a cold, cement room, we give them the comfort of real beds, couches to lounge on and plenty of interaction with other pets and people. Our approach creates a space that feels like home—because that's exactly what your pet deserves.

Hi, I’m Holly Dean.

About Me

I was born in Butler, Missouri, and graduated from North Kansas City High School in 2006. At 18, I joined the United States Navy and served as a Hospital Corpsman until my Retirement in 2023. I graduated from Perdue Global University in 2022 with a Masters in Teaching.

I have always had a love for animals. I grew up with dogs and cats. Danny got me my first dog as an adult for our first Valentine’s Day together. She was a husky named Kaya and she made a great companion to Danny’s dog, Jake. Kaya and Jake have crossed the rainbow bridge but we have been blessed with the love of 7 more dogs: Draco, Bella, Coco, Maddie, Rex, Zeus and Poseidon!

Why Dog Days LLC

We have a passion for animals! We fall in love with the pets we watch and our home becomes a second home to them. We have heard so many stories from our pet parents about how the second they turn onto our street, their pet knows exactly where they are going and goes nuts. They become an extension of our family!

What Makes Us Different

Dog Days is a staycation for your pet. Free range boarding alleviates so much stress an anxiety that our clients have told us their pups had being caged up all day in traditional boarding facilities. They sleep in our beds, cuddle us and it truly does feel like home! What is even better is that there are no additional fees. The price you see is all inclusive. Many boarding facilities charge extra for everything you can imagine. Additional fees for cuddle time, additional fees for play time with other dogs, additional fees for medication administration, upgrades for larger kennels or rooms, ect. At Dog Days, we believe in transparency. That’s why the prices listed are all inclusive including taxes!
